Disciplines
Trekking/snowshoeing:
Finnish landscapes gives an opportunity to dive deep into snowed pine forest and choose your route between ice-covered lakes, hills and forests. In a sunny day it will be impossible move without snowshoes – snow becomes melted. It is a great opportunity to see elks and deers on this stages.
MTB:
Mountain bike will be in most of the cases over the public unsealed roads. At that time of the year spike tires will be recommended.
Cross-country skiing:
Excellent network of cross-country trails around Tahko will be used for cross-country skiing. It will be an opportunity to experience both classic and skating styles. Even well-prepared cross-country skiers will experience heavy tiredness on these long and crossed stages.
Skating:
Skating is fast on the prepared lake surface. This will not be a dominating discipline as other three, though it will require special skills and those teams familiar with it will have an ability to get a good advantage on these stages.
Special tasks:
Pay serious attention to the rope disciplines – this will be non standard and really hard. Also it will be climbing, horse riding and some surprise special tasks.
